The Observation and Profile Tool for Developmental Trauma provides a checklist of dysregulated behaviors organized into Fight-Flight-Freeze-Fawn (FFFF) categories. It offers four forms to be completed by raters via an observation that can be analyzed and summarized to determine a dominant and/or hybrid FFFF Profile of a child with suspected emotional dysregulation. It also includes a matched list of co-regulation strategies to each of the FFFF categories. These strategies can be trialed and practiced during intervention and/or in the classroom.
